As you would expect our telephone fundraisers are at the heart of our business. We work hard to create a cause-driven, motivating environment with all the support that fundraisers have a right to expect: from intensive initial training to one-to-one mentoring; from advanced skills and knowledge training to emotional support for the times when the work is stressful and tiring.
Between them, our fundraisers have over 3 million conversations a year. It's a considerable workload but our fundraisers remain dedicated and enthusiastic, in part through their own conscientiousness and desire to effect change and in part through the remarkable support of their peers, mentors and managers.
The investment in our staff is rewarded not least in the results clients see. But what we get back from our fundraisers extends beyond results. They offer insights into supporter views and expectations, and they help us to develop the creative messages that drive increased support.
